Lindsay Lohan hits paparazzi in New York

In other Lindsay Lohan news, while celebrating her time back in New York the actress ran into a bit of trouble on Tuesday morning (literally).  Evidently Lohan hit a photographer with her car trying to snap a picture of she and her posse outside of NY hot-spot, Butter.

As the photographer flopped around on the ground, the star was wisked out of her white BMW and into a black SUV nearby.  An ambulance was called to the scene and the paparazzi was taken to a nearby hospital, treated for a bruised knee and later released.

The fun wasn't over for Lindsay though, she and her crew raced through the streets of New York trying to avoid other photographers hot on her trail.  At one point her car even went down a one-way street travelling in the wrong direction.  When the photographers followed her, they were stopped by police and cited for the violation. 

On lookers say Linday evidently returned to the scene of the accident an hour later.  I wonder where her new beau, Jude Law, was during all of this?
