Comedia Will Ferrell iced the competition taking home the gold at the box office this weekend.  His flick, "Blades of Glory" sold $33 million in tickets since opening on Friday making it the number one pick on the silver screen in its opening weekend..

Ferrell and Jon Heder ("Napoleon Dynamite") play the world's first competitive male pairs figure skaters in an irreverent comedy that enjoyed widespread critical acclaim -- an increasing rarity for box office champs these days.

Walt Disney Co.'s animated comedy "Meet the Robinsons," opened at number two.  The third spot went to "300," with $11.2 million and last week's champ "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" fell to fourth bringing in $9.2 million.  "Wild Dogs" rounded out the top 5 snagging $8.4 million.

The computer generated comedy "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" has knocked the ancient warriors of '300' off their top spot at the box office this weekend.

The heroes in a half shell made their return bringing in $25.4 million.  This is the fourth entry in the turtle crime fighting franchise.  The last live-action installment "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III," brought in $12.4 million also taking the top spot in 1991.

"300" brought in 20.5 million after spending two weeks at number.  The third spot went to Mark Wahlberg's conspiracy thriller "Shooter" bringing in $14.5 million.

The battle epic '300' has topped the US and Candian box office charts for a second week in a row as the Warner Brothers flick brought in $31.2 million.

The movie beat out of the new films like Sandra Bullock's "Premonition," which opened in third place with $18 million, and "Dead Silence," which debuted fourth with $7.7 million.

"Wild Hogs" remained in second place, taking in $18.8 million in its third week.

Time Warner's highly publicized battle epic "300" took the top movie spot in both the US and Canada this weekend taking in $70 million in ticket sales, a record for a March opening.

It's insane that a movie could make that much money and its not even a holiday weekend!!

The movie knocked "Wild Hogs,'' out of the top spot which fell to second place with $28 million, while Walt Disney's ``Bridge to Terabithia'' was third with $6.9 million.

"300'" broke the March opening record held by Fox's "Ice Age: The Meltdown," which made $68 million in its first weekend last year.

Slap me silly and call me a hog! Who knew a bunch of washed-up middle-agers could take over movie theatres this weekend?!

The biker buddy comedy "Wild Hogs" has taken the top spot at the box office this week taking in over $38 million.

It was also the largest-ever debut for one of the movie's stars John Travolta as well as the best non-animated movie debut for another star Tim Allen.

The movie also stars William H. Macy and Martin Lawrence.

Not only did these tough gays guys take the top spot, but according the Associated Press -- no other flick even came close.

The No. 2 movie was the thriller "Zodiac," which debuted with $13.1 million. "Ghost Rider" fell to No. 3 in its third week of release with $11.5 million, "Bridge to Terabithia" was fourth with $8.6 million, and "The Number 23" dropped to fifth with $7.1 million in its second week.
