Turtle power takes the top spot at the box office
The computer generated comedy "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" has knocked the ancient warriors of '300' off their top spot at the box office this weekend.
The heroes in a half shell made their return bringing in $25.4 million. This is the fourth entry in the turtle crime fighting franchise. The last live-action installment "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III," brought in $12.4 million also taking the top spot in 1991.
"300" brought in 20.5 million after spending two weeks at number. The third spot went to Mark Wahlberg's conspiracy thriller "Shooter" bringing in $14.5 million.
