This Week in Angelina Jolie News: Meet Pax Thien Jolie

I have come under fire for many things in my tenure as a writer.  I was once hit in the face while emceeing an event because someone thought I wrote that Anna Nicole Smith was an unfit mother (who is laughing now), among other 'hater' activities.

However, I never thought I would take a beating like I have for writing about someone I admire and look up to... that happened this week when I called Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's family a 'fleet.'

Maybe it was a bad choice of words, but Brad Pitt even joked that he and Jolie planned to have their own 'soccer' team.  My apologies to anyone who I may have offended.  I love the Jolie-Pitt's.  I mean, after all, they are the most beautiful family on earth!

This week Angelina Jolie went to Vietnam to pick up her newest kid!  She has renamed the 3-year-old boy Pax Thien Jolie.  Pax will be the newest addition to the Jolie-Pitt's.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt already have three children together.  Jolie adopted Maddox and Zahara before meeting Pitt who later also adopted them both.  Jolie and Pitt also have on biological daughter, Shiloh.

Jolie went to Vietnam to pick up Pax herself, and currently she is the only parent listed on the adoption papers.

Earlier in the week, the media speculated that Jolie had 'fast paced' her application since she was a celebrity and since she had hand-picked the child she wanted to adopt.

"In this case, things can move faster because she's a celebrity and she has already found a child," Vietnam's senior adoption official Vu Duc Long said last week.

As it turns out, however, that isn't the case.  US officials have confirmed that Angelina actually started this adoption procedure last summer.

"Throughout Ms Jolie's adoption process, she received no preferential treatment from the Vietnamese government or Adoptions From The Heart," said the statement by Heidi Gonzalez, the non-profit agency's Vietnam coordinator.

"Contrary to earlier reports, her application was not fast-tracked," the statement read.

Reporters on the scene say that Jolie conforted the crying young boy when she arrived to take him back with her.  From what I hear it was really a breath-taking site as Angelina and her new son bonded for the first time.

That isn't the end of it though, Angelina has also confirmed that she will take some time off to stay home and focus on raising her family.

She and Brad Pitt have recently relocated to New Orleans where they both say they will help to rebuild the struggling city.  Pitt is also expected to add his name as Pax's father when everything is finalized.

no seat belts? lousy mom?definitely no! not a criterion at all! go to other countries and u'll see bunch of great moms who do not even know how to put seatbelts on themselves or to their children...stop wasting time, she's trying to be a good mom, leave her alone!

Nobody wear seat belts in Vietnam. Most cars in that country do not have seat belts anyway!

Look at the picture! You can clearly see the seatbelt behind Angelina's shoulder! She complained about being chased by photographers! Doesn't anyone remember the simple fact that if Princess Diana had been wearing her seat belt she would have survived the crash. Responsible people, especially parents, make sure their children are restrained safely in cars, whatever country they are in!

Okay, peeps - do you REALLY think this picture was taken while the car was moving? What, was the photographer riding on the running boards, with the door open? Please. This picture was taken while the vehicle was sitting still, unless this is one of those "double wide" SUVs that they haven't invented yet.

As far as I know, it's not a danger to anyone's health to sit in a parked vehicle without a seatbelt on.

Get a grip, folks.

I was born and raised in Vietnam and to tell you that seatbelts are not required there, it's up to the people if they want to wear one.....
