Police in Atkinson, N.H. have released the contents on a series of suicide notes left by former Boston frontman, Brad Delp.

Delp trappped himself in his bathroom and killed himself with carbon monoxide poisoning.

The first note was taped on the door that leads from the garage into the house. It read: "To whoever finds this I have hopefully committed suicide. Plan B was to asphyxiate myself in my car."

Another note was attached to a door at the top of the stairs in which Delp warned that there was carbon monoxide inside. "I take complete and sole responsibility for my present situation. I have lost my desire to live," he wrote.

The note also included instructions on how to contact his fiancée, Pamela Sullivan, saying, "Unfortunately she is totally unaware of what I have done."

Delp even attached a note to his shirt that read: "Mr. Brad Delp. J'ai une ame solitaire. I am a lonely soul."

Police also found four sealed letters in Delp's home office addressed to Sullivan, his children, their mother, Micki Delp, and another couple whose identity was not disclosed. Police said they gave the letters to family members without reading them.

Brad Delp was cremated Wednesday after a private funeral earlier in the week.

He did not run the pipe from his car to the bathroom. He used the flexible piping from his dryer to run from his tail pipe into his car. This was his backup plan in case the charcoal grills in the bathroom did not work.

I can't understand why Charles Winters thought the notes Brad wrote are 'eerie'. They are series of careful concerns fot the other people.

I've been looking for my Boston CD all weekend. I think I was wanting to listen to it more carefully than I ever had before. I was wanting to listen for clues in his voice that might have told of his path to misery, you know, torment and the like.

The extraordinarily successful singer/music-artist Brad Delps death is a lesson for all of us...We all fervently need Christ in our hearts to protect us from doing something like this to ourselves!...He claims he was a lonely soul, this is so unfortunate, but it happens from time-to-time to all of us in life...According to the news, this ultimately led to his suicide...Reason why he took his life? I feel he did not believe or have faith in the Lord, that Christ was not by his side in life...Without Christ, self-destruction is assured...This may seem drastic, but it is the truth...Glory be to the Savior whom I hope will embrace Brad in judgment...

I am a family memember of someone who commited suicide. It was my father and it was in 1972. This is a tragic, terrible, travisity. It isnt about a lack of faith in Jesus Christ, a good Christian would refrain from judging one of God's clearly troubled men and it isnt about being selfish. It is about mental illness. Sometimes people cannot see passed permenant solutions to temporary problems. It will take his loved ones and family a lifetime of healing to the many unanswered questions, doubts, and overwhelming grief. I pray for the families peace, privacy, and dignity that they deserve. When people who read these posts are capable please think rationally prior to posting insensitive and unthinking remarks. Ignorance to the available help and ignorance to the facts creates and perpetuates such horrid events in the lives of mere people.

Fame and fortune never substitute for being happy. I saw Boston in concert a couple of summers ago in Cinicinnati, they were fantastic. It's sad that we'll never hear from Brad again.

The WORLD has lost one of THE greatest singers of our time! Brad will be missed by me all my life. Listening to his voice was like listening to a beautifully orchestrated orchestra. Boston was one of THE greatest bands ever because of Brads beautiful and fantastic voice. The world will miss you Brad.

Dina is right. Its not about failure of spirit but of mental depression - a common illness. However there are excellent medications for that these days and I wonder if he was taking any. If he had, this tragedy would not have happened. I will remember him for his beautiful singing voice and legacy with Boston.
