American Idol hand-me-downs?
It is arguably the most successful reality competiton of all time, and there is no doubt that American Idol is making a ton of money.So why would Idol recycle such things as hair extensions? TMZ is reporting that the hit TV show saves a few bucks each year by recycling items like jewelry, clothing, props and hair extensions.
The website's source says current contestant Haley Scarnato is wearing extensions previously worn by last year's Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee.
Fox hasn't confirmed or denied the penny pinching.
The top 11 Idol hopefuls performed for a second time together on Tuesday. On Wednesday, another contestant will be sent home.
