A smashing publicity move by Eddie Griffin

Video of actor Eddie Griffin crashing a very rare Ferrari Enzo, of which just 400 were produced, has circulated the internet and made jaws drop world wide.

However, now we're learning that it may have just been a very expensive publicity stunt for his new movie Redline.

Griffin was driving a red Ferrari Enzo, of which just 400 were produced, at the Irwindale Speedway in preparation for a Race for a Cause charity run sponsored by his new movie, Redline.

No doubt to the chagrin of Griffin, his pricey bang-up job was captured by local news cameras and occurred when the 38-year-old was unable to handle a tight, coned-off curve during a speedy practice run. Instead, the vehicle drove practically head-on into a concrete barrier on the side of the track. The car rose briefly into the air and Griffin immediately stopped his run.

Wow!  A $1.5M hoax!  That's definitely a way to make headlines, and make me a little nauseated at the same time!
