Utah to ban Gay Straight Alliances

| | Comments (1) | TrackBacks (0)

Not only do some states want to ban gay marriage, but they also want to exclude gay students by banning gay straight alliances.

If a bill passes the state senate in Utah, Public schools would be allowed to prevent students from forming gay-straight alliance clubs if they think such groups would threaten the "moral well-being" of students or faculty.  Who gets to determine this "moral well-being?"  The same person who wants to ban it.

The Senate is expected to approve the revised bill, but the House would have to agree to the changes before it could become law.
