No more gay bullying in NJ

The New Jersey Supreme Court has ruled unanimously that gay students will be protected from bullying under the state's Law Against Discrimination.

The court's take on it:

"Students in the classroom are entitled to no less protection from unlawful discrimination and harassment than their adult counterparts in the workplace." Now, if a New Jersey school discovers discrimination against gay students, it must intervene to stop it.

Personally I think its really sad that the people we trust with the education of our children need a court order to do what common courtesy should demand. But lets not sour a moment of sweet victory. It is the law now, and hopefully it is carried out fully (yay justice system).
