CA gays celebrate the day the never happened...

According to the history books, it was the day that San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom granted marriage licenses to gays and lesbians in the liberal California city.

According to the CA government, he broke the law - so the day should be forgotten.  On Tuesday, hundreds of the 4,000 LGBT couples gathered at city hall to mark their third anniversary.

You can't keep us down!
