Birkhead paints Anna Nicole Smith as druggie

It looks like someone (other than her estranged mother) isn't afraid to finally admit that Anna Nicole Smith had a drug problem... enter Larry Birkhead.

Birkhead, Anna Nicole's ex-boyfriend and the man most likely to be the father of her orphaned little girl, Dannielynn, took the stand in Florida on Thursday morning saying that Anna Nicole Smith took drugs while she was pregnant with the newborn baby.

Birkhead said their relationship stretched over two years and included a miscarriage. He also testified that their relationship was marred by Smith's use of drugs before and during her pregnancy with Dannielynn.

During the testimony, Birkhead claimed, a pregnant Smith got angry with him over a misunderstanding and asked him to leave the hospital room where "she was trying to get off medications." Then, he claims, that two days later Smith called him to ask where he was, and did not remember telling him to leave.

While Birkhead is testifying as a witness for Virgie Arthur, Smith's estranged mother, he has mentioned at times that she wanted to be buried in California near her idol, Marilyn Monroe.

I find the court case appalling. For the judge to suggest "We need to keep our humour" is astounding. It would never happen in our courts (UK). Why is humour relevant? Humour should not have even been mentioned as appropriate. He clearly has decided Stern is the 'enabler'(and guilty of wrongdoing) as he effectively called him, and I would also ask how in a court of law a Judge can make retrospective decisions openly, then change his mind as he has done so with Stern? Terrible. This court is so out of control, lacks any dignity and hold views which are blatantly discriminatory as the judge has shown with Stern, enabler or not. The hearing is a circus, but the implications are that a woman is rotting whilst a weird Juge gets his 15 minutes of fame. In death, dignity is everything, the ending must always be viewed with dignity. This Judge has single handedly prevented that. Whatever Smith was in life, most of it was decisions she made, her fault. This circus is not her doing. It is people who should know better who are creating this grotesque pantomime, and making the USA Judicial system a mockery.

I don't trust anyone involved in these proceedings. Larry Birkhead is acting concerned for Dannielyn's well being, and saying he's the father, and saying Anna Nicole abused drugs, and that she miscarried once (presumably with his child) in their relationship, prior to this pregnancy. If he was really such a great guy, and cared so much, why would he even consider a child with this woman...a woman he states has abused drugs? Wouldn't the lifestyle exhibited here indicate that parenting with Anna Nicole might not be such a good idea? I think he pursues this whole matter because he was obsessed with Anna Nicole, not in love with her.
And why aren't people honouring her wishes to be buried beside her son? It is appalling how her wishes are being ignored, both by her mother, by Larry B., and by the Judge. As for Howard Stern...well, I think he cared for her, although it is completely possible that he also abused drugs along with her. I don't think he was responsible for her, or Daniel's death. I think people have overlooked how difficult this whole situation may be on him...he's lost a companion of many years, he's lost a home, (or may lose it) he may lose a daughter, he's lost a step son, and he's lost all privacy and dignity during this fiasco of a courtroom proceeding.
I really hope that by some means, Dannielyn is adopted by people who genuinely want a baby daughter, and do not know about her possible inheritance, thus ensuring they're in it for her well being and to provide her with a good home, not to grab a lot of cash.
