AP misleads with gay headline

Today we are giving thanks that we don't get our news from the Associated Press.  The news wire service has parties on both sides of the isle pissed off over a headline that read: R.I. to recognize gay unions performed in Mass.

However, this concept hasn't become a reality.  In fact, the R.I. legislature hasn't even voted on the idea.  No one has really even proposed anything.

I guess they managed to get the gay's hopes up and piss off the republicans!

The article does seem to be an honest mistake as the first line read: "PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Rhode Island Attorney General Patrick Lynch says his state should recognize the gay marriages of state employees performed in Massachusetts."

This hasn't stopped many media outlets from turning against the loyal news provider.
