Here is the club crawler for the week of Monday, October 2nd through Sunday, October 8th!  Enjoy!

The club crawler is made up of excerpts submitted by GaySocialites.com staff and members while partying like we should in New York City.

This week's crawl includes stops at:  Mr. Blacks, Roxy, Boysroom, Happy Valley, Heaven, Splash, and Work Area!

We started out the week on Tuesday after enjoying a very restful Monday.  We hit the ground running a stop at Boysroom for Tragic.  Steve Sidewalk had the grove, but it seems hard to have a 'Boysroom' without any 'boys.'  Formika's East Village hang out has gone 21 and over running off all the twinkies and leaving the place a little... err Tragic.  From there we headed up to Happy Valley to find that things weren't really much better there.  We spotted a few people that looked familiar on the way in, but they looked a bit -- out of it.  We kept walking.  After spending a few minutes daydreaming about how insane this party used to be, we called it quits and headed home.

After taking another day off on Wednesday, we headed out Thursday to make our rounds.  We started at the old Downtime space, now called Rebel.  Shane Savant has reappeared on the 'scene' with a new party at this remodeled space called Strut.  We thought we got off to a late start, so arriving fashionably late was expected to a breeze.  Maybe we're not hitting the right spots this week, but not too many people turned out to Strut.  We love the venue, and the secret passage ways are to die for... but we quickly realized the few people hanging out here weren't our 'crowd,' so we headed downtown a bit to Duvet.  Ah, where is everyone??!!  Not much luck at Duvet either.  We normally like this place, because its easy to hide in the crowd and not be annoyed too bady.  This time, we were the crowd.  Needless to say, our stay at Duvet was short lived too.  After two duds in one night, we decided to swing around by Splash to see what Alan Picus and the Campus Thursdays crew had going down.  This place is a sure bet if you're looking for a place that is packed from wall-to-wall.  This party even seems to be stepping out of the 'young' brackets as we are starting to see the Chelsea boys flock back to Splash on a regular basis.  Seen:  Shane Savant, Jose the Hopper, Micheal T, Steve Sidewalk, Alan Picus, Crazy Steve, Seth Gold, Chris Ryan.

Friday night put us in a catch-22.  After the going away bash for the Area party at the Standard, we were starting to wish that more parties decided to go under.  This was probably the best event that Formika and Johnny McGovern have thrown since moving to Standard.  The drinks were flowing VERY freely and everyone was a bit sloshy before the night even began.  Steve Sidewalk burned up the dance floor before handing things over to Jon Jon Battles.  We thought the doors were closing, but they were really just switching DJs.  These guys make a great duo!  They kept everyone dancing all night long.  Eventually, we couldn't handle the insanity and decided to 'Beat It' so we could check out Vito Fun's party down the street at Don Hills.  Everyone here was having a blast it seemed, so much that we had to hit the road.  Vito was spinning his infamous 80's set while DJ Jose the Hopper was collecting money at the door.  (Girls gotta eat I guess!)  Also seen:  Canton, James Tate, Becca, Matty Weisman, Formika, Johnny McGovern.

As Saturday night rolled around, we came up with a great plan to start downtown and work our way up.  Our first stop on the Saturday night tour was to swing by and visit Johnny McGovern at Mr. Blacks (as promised).  Johnny had the Boys Going Wild, and the music was hot.  Mr. Blacks could easily be called a dive/ hole-in-the-wall; but Johnny McGovern could probably make a cardboard box trashy, so there are no worries if you're looking for some trailer park-esque skinny boys.  When we felt as though we'd seen enough of hairy ass, we moved on uptown to Roxy.  Offer Nissim had just taken the floor when we arrived, and hearing a live set will definitely make you want to run out to get his newest CD.  This international superstar brought Roxy to a boiling point.  We've never seen the crowd dance so hard no matter how hot it got on the dance floor.  After sweating off a few pounds, we decided to check out the chicken on the menu at Heaven.  We arrived just in time to see our bossman start his show with the zany Mimi Imfurst.  They were so excited to have two microphones.  We must admit, it doesn't take much to make them happy!  After gagging on all the boobs flying about (yes, Mimi includes girls in her show --ewww) and watching Charles run away from the topless drunk girl, we decided to jump in a cab and head home fast. Seen: Charles Winters, Mimi Imfurst, Offer Nissim, John Blair, DJ John Marto, Christina Aguilera, Sal, Phil, Patrick.

When Sunday finally rolled around, we made our trek down 6th Avenue to remember that Sunday's party has been moved to Roxy.  We got really excited about strapping on the roller skates, but arrived to find out that the place was packed full of escorts and amateur porn stars.  Trust us, its not as good as it sounds.  I guess we weren't the only ones expecting to skate, because more people seemed to be leaving than coming.  We must admit, DJ Escape would have been much better on a roller rink!  Seen:  Tons of slutty guys and John Blair, Beto Sutter, Patrick, Alan Picus, Jeremy L, Chris Ryan, Vito Fun.
