Tighten your tie

Androgynous:

having both masculine and feminine characteristics.

 having an ambiguous sexual identity.

neither clearly masculine nor clearly feminine in appearance.

Tighten your tie. Close that suit jacket, slick back your hair. Years ago, that statement would of been directed to a man. But in the year 2007 androgyny plays a bigger part then you know. Gender is not what it used to be. We are not all male or female. We are often one with the like to act like the other.

Men and women have been androgynous for generations. In the 1930's Marlene Dietrich acted in a film by the name of Morocco (directed by Josef von Sternberg). In the film, Dietrich kisses a girl after giving her a flower. A scene the creators wanted cut, but Dietrich fought for it to stay.

The entertainment industry is clearly aware that controversy sells. R&B artist Ciara sports a suit and tie in her latest video for  "Like A Boy " . The video is about a girl who likes to act like a boy. An attempt to give society a taste of the inequality women deal with daily. Ciara states that if a woman could play man for a day, we wouldn't have to work so hard each day.

We are all born a particular sex. It is a boy/girl. We are born gay, we are born straight. We are born transgendered, and bisexual just like we are born african american or white. If you choose to have a girlie day or a tomboy day feel free. It is your life. Never feel bad about wearing a tie if your a girl or a dress if you are a boy. Being average and so called "Normal" is boring. It is difference that adds the spunk to life. I want to wake up every day and open my eyes to new and exciting things. If you dislike difference, feel free to close your eyes.

Is this Jesus?

Tonight we will all get to see what the hype is about.  The Discovery Channel will debut their documentary, “The Lost Tomb of Jesus.”

Executive producer James Cameron who is best known for "Titanic" has ruffled the feathers of Christians world-wide in true “Da Vinci Code” style with this documentary in which he claims to have found the remains of Jesus Christ.

The New York Times called his arguments "plausible but not persuasive" claiming they rely more on "what if" than "here’s how."  Meanwhile, regilious leaders across the globe say that the film producers findings are full of holes failing to prove that Jesus didn't rise from the dead and walk again after burial.

If Cameron is correct, this would add a whole new layer of skepticsm to the Bible and would challenge what many consider to the be the true word of the God.  Cameron's partners on the project say they aren't trying to prove that the Bible is not wrong, just a bit misunderstood.

“The Lost Tomb of Jesus” airs at 9pm EST on the Discovery Channel, check your local listings.

Jet Blue didn't bounce back soon enough

Snow fell Sunday night and Monday morning in New York City, always a beautiful sight.  However, it was more like a nightmare for an airline that is trying its hardest to hold things together.

Jet Blue has angered tons of passengers once again (second snow storm in a row) by canceling nearly 70 flights leaving passengers stranded at JFK airport.

Some passengers on a flight to from JFK to North Carolina told the Associate Press, "It was so bad. We were waiting on the plane for so long. You would think they would tell us to go back to the terminal after an hour or two."

The low cost carrier said canceling the flights was a pre-emptive measure to make sure crews and planes would be available.

Is this the infamous tomb of Jesus Christ?

Filmmakers and researchers on Monday unveiled this as what they expect to be final resting place of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene.

"The Lost Tomb of Jesus," produced by Oscar-winning director James Cameron and scheduled to air March 4 on the Discovery Channel, argues that 10 these small caskets, called ossuaries, discovered in 1980 in a Jerusalem suburb may have held the bones of Jesus and his family.

So, is this one big publicity stunt for a Discovery Channel documentary or did these people really find Jesus?  Have they presented some new possibilities or are they going to rot in hell for such a lie?

You know I'll be watching though!
