Emma Watson: March 2007 Archives

Despite previous rumors, it looks like Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will be back for the final two installments of the Harry Potter movies.

The teen stars will reprise their roles in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" which will be the last two films in the franchise based on J.K. Rowling's best-selling novels, said Jeff Robinov, the studio's president of production.

"It would be inconceivable to imagine anyone else in the roles with which they have become so identified," Robinov said.

Rumors also surfaced that Watson would not return for the new films, but now Emma is in.

"I could never let Hermione go," she said. "I love her too much and love what playing her has meant to me. I'm excited and honored to be finishing what I started and playing her in all seven of the films."

The fifth film in the series, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," is slated for release on July 13.

Actress Emma Watson, who is most famous for playing Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" movies says she was stalked at her British school by an obsessed fan and from the looks of things - she won't be returing for the final two Potter films.

Sky News said a source told them that the 16-year-old actress was recently approached by a man in his 20s who had been following her into her open lectures at her school.

"The man actually gate-crashed her school," the source said. "She was very alarmed and worried."

While the man was questioning Watson about her work in the Harry Potter films, the police evidently showed up to question him on why he was following the teenaged star.

Watson has hired a body guard to attend classes with her now to prevent future incidents like this one from occurring.

Meanwhile, according to a report in the News of the World, Watson has decided not to sign up for the final two Harry Potter movies.

"Emma doesn't want to do it any more," her co-star Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley explained. "She's tired of being known as ‘that girl from Harry Potter'. Daniel (Radcliffe) and I are distant from her now. We don't text or talk to her when we are not filming."

The paper reports it has received confirmation from Warner Brothers that Emma has not signed up for the final films.
