David Hasselhoff: April 2007 Archives

If you spent the 1980's wishing you could have a talking car exactly like David Hasselhoff drove on Knight Rider, then it could be your lucky day!  Michael Knight's talking KITT car is for sale!

For $149,995 you could find yourself behind the wheel of this restored black 1982 Pontiac Trans Am.

Hasselhoff doesn't actually own the car.  The car belongs to Tim Russo, who decided he can make a few bucks with the 25th anniversary of the show's debut coming up.  Johnny "Vette" Verhoek of Kassabian Motors has had the car, officially called Knight Industries 2000, on display for the past month.

I must warn you though, the KITT car cannot actually travel at 483 kilometers per hour like KITT could.  It doesn't fly 15 feet in the air, and it doesn't throw smoke bombs.  However, many of the key features are still in tact.

This particular car is one of four documented "camera cars" used for close-up shots and scenes while the Hoff cruised behind the wheel.
