The Los Angeles city attorney's office announced on Friday that they will not charge Brandy in a deadly freeway crash last December.

The California Highway Patrol wanted the singer, born Brandy Norwood, to be charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter.

The stories around the case are actually changing now saying that the accident wasn't Brandy's fault and they the lady who died may have been driving while under the influence of marijuana.

The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office has to hurry and decide whether or not they plan to file criminal charges against R&B singer Brandy.

Brandy was involved in a multiple car crash that killed Awatef Aboudihaj.  The first anniversary of the accident, December 30, and Brandy still hasn't been charged.

TMZ is reporting that the City Attorney's Office plans to wait until the last minute to make their decision.
